Demystifying the Law

Based in Vermont, Woodbury College was founded thirty years ago with a mission to demystify the law. In a state known for its commitment to civil society, harmonious problem solving, and cutting-edge developments in sustainable business, we are known as the “law and mediation college.” We’re proud to have introduced paralegal education, our unique pre-law program, and our path-breaking program in alternative dispute resolution.

Our passion is educating non-lawyers about the law, because in a highly-regulated world dependent on its rule, law is too important to be understood by only a few specialists. We see the law not as a set of rules but a set of tools — tools to improve your work and enhance your career.

A set of tools that can advance your career, from a fully accredited college

The Master of Science in Law (MSL) degree at Woodbury College was created to help professionals who are not lawyers think and act confidently in the legal dimensions of their work, prevent needless litigation, and work productively with counsel when counsel is necessary. You’ll gain legal knowledge to increase your effectiveness and advance your career.

Woodbury College is accredited by the New England Association of Schools & Colleges, Inc., through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education.
